Event Details

Please join the Upper Columbia Salmon Recovery Board (UCSRB) and the Upper Columbia Regional Technical Team (UCRTT) as we host the first Upper Columbia Habitat Adaptive Management Science Conference. The Adaptive Management Science Conference is an opportunity for stakeholders from the public, project implementers, local government, state and federal agencies, and tribes, to learn about and discuss the UCRTT 2010 Analysis Workshop Synthesis Report, which evaluates the current status of spring Chinook salmon and steelhead, and the implementation of actions to sustain and improve their habitat.

The Conference builds on the work of many partners and an adaptive management process for the Upper Columbia Spring Chinook Salmon and Steelhead Recovery Plan, implementing habitat restoration actions intended to improve conditions for salmon, monitoring the results of those habitat actions, and evaluating the results of monitoring. Recommendations made in the Synthesis Report are intended to improve the quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of actions implemented to restore salmon populations. This is the first ever adaptive management science workshop for ESA-listed Pacific Northwest salmon. Please join us for this historic event.

2010 UCRTT Analysis Workshop

The UCRTT and UCSRB hosted the first ever UCRTT Analysis Workshop on January 12 and 13, 2010. The Analysis Workshop has an important role in the adaptive management framework adopted by the UCSRB for implementation of the Upper Columbia Spring Chinook Salmon and Steelhead Recovery Plan. Results from the Analysis Workshop, and related deliberations of the UCRTT and subsequent meetings, have been captured in the UCRTT 2010 Adaptive Management Synthesis Report that will be presented at the Upper Columbia Habitat Adaptive Management Science Conference. UCSRB

The Upper Columbia Salmon Recovery Board (UCSRB) addresses salmon recovery through locally based efforts that include public involvement and the integration of sound scientific information.  We are working to help our communities meet the recovery goals in the region of balancing the needs of the economy, salmon and the community.

The UCSRB is comprised of representatives from Chelan, Douglas, and Okanogan counties, the Colville Confederated Tribes and the Yakama Nation. The UCSRB fosters collaboration and cooperation among entities participating in recovery activities in the Upper Columbia region.

The UCSRB's regional approach efficiently integrates local, state and federal programs, identifies where recovery funds need to be applied, coordinates habitat, hatchery, harvest, and hydropower components as they relate to salmon recovery, and informs organizations, industry, and the general public.
